Runners Oatmeal Bar

It's almost 2 1/2 months that I haven't give you some stories about my running experiences, the reason is that I have been busy with my work this past few days. I can't refuse from my hobby running, that's why I every morning I am trying to exercise regularly. Especially my wortk is pastry chef, I am surrounded with sweet foods.. hmmmmm ..delicious..

This time, I wanted to share ypu a recipe "oatmeal bar" it is light sweet, nutritious, and good for our health. You can make your own while you are in your own kitchen, just make sure that the things needed for this are complete, and also the ingredients.

So this is it.. These are cholesterol free but not low in fats, so they should be eaten only occasionally.

This are the ingredients:
1 cup unsalted butter
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup honey syrup
2 pcs. egg whites
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup wheat flour or wheat germ
1 tsp. baking soda
3 cups white oats
1 cup raisin or banana chips

Procedure:
Thoroughly cream butter and sugar. Add egg whites and vanilla. Beat well. Sift together flour and soda. Add to cream mixture. Stir in oatmeal and raisins or banana chips, then honey. Mix well. Form dough in rolls or bar form, to 1 1/2 inches in diameter, wrap in foil or plastic. Freeze thoroughly.
Preheat oven to 190 degrees celsius, with sharp knife ,slice cookies about 1/4 in. ,thick. Bake in ungreased baking sheet for 12 min. or until slightly browned.
Makes about 50- 70 bars.
